Default creatin a mask in illustrator?

how do u create a clippin mask in illustrator, to many boxes? i want to put a picture in many boxes but it only does it to one box.

illy is not great with pictures. You can mask a image into boxes using the opacity masks, but it sounds thats not what you want... I'd go for photoshop...

You have to make sure your boxes are part of the same group, otherwise it will only put the photo in one.

Illy also has a problem with clipping masks at times, so it may not react as you would like it to...and not because you're doing it wrong, but because Illy is weird that way.

I agree, Illustrator is probably not where you want to be doing that, you could do it easily(but large file size) in indesign, or you could do it in photoshop.
