The problem is, how many people watch their screen savers on their mobile, I know I don't, unless there was something interesting happening within that screen saver, and it's good enough to want to show off to people. Slogan!, avoid cliche's like 'hypnotic', 'chill out', screen savers are just wallpaper, they're personal. Does your product need a slogan?, your medium is small, an identity would do it for me. I wouldn't buy ten, I would just buy the one, and if I felt it was good, maybe buy another, that would make better business sense to me.

I am planning to release one of the visuals from Astral effects, "Hypnotic Lotus" as a standard Symbian screensaver. The product is made in Java so they are not really standard screensavers as it is now. They are 10 hypnotic visuals that you can choose from a menu. The purpose with the product is to watch the visuals, chill out or meditate while having nothing to do on the subway for instance.

See. This is where I think you've gone wrong.

You've created a niche product, without defining your niche. I had a samsung d600 that had a relaxation thing on it, which played loops of sounds while it had raindrop like movements on screen. You are wanting to create a similar visual experience with these fractals. I'd be careful with the colours if they are truly to be 'chilled to' but the fact is, this is not a screensaver. This is a program in its own right, A java based visual relaxation tool. By calling it a set of 10 screensavers, you are confusing your consumers by thinking it is in fact a bundle of 10 individual 'screen savers' that can be set to move when the phone is in stand by, or a call is received. If I understand your product, its a program for chilling to the visuals. so I think thats your UPS.

I think you are right, I need to change all of that. Do you have any ideas on how to market it better?
