I am hoping someone will want to do it to help me and build their portfolio, Your design you will be seen on tv and other fight websites and magazines.
Before you get grilled to fugery, I just want to 'warn' you that, suggesting to help designers build their portfolio et al would not be considered a bonus or an alternative to payment. Designers can do that by creating a 'fake' projects to fill their portfolios.
I assume you may have a decent budget, as you state you would be featured on television and other media. So that would be a good starting point.
Also this link has been useful for members advertising for work on here.

Haha... contrary to mass belief.. just cuz your on tv doesnt mean you are making money.. i am in the sport for the fun of fighting..
Fake projects or not.. etleast this project will be seen on tv and MMA mags and websites all over.

So far all the quotes i have gotten from this add are a joke. I have decided to just do my own design... you guys are asking unreal amounts of money for a single, very simple image that may take 5 mins to do if you have a art program. Like most of you are asking over $150 ... I could see if i was asking for a full concept, with no idea of what i wanted.. but as you could see from my add i had a very good idea of what i needed i just needed someone to put it on the computer.
Ill just download my own art program and do it myself.. i should have been a graphic designer.. its like free money.

Good luck with that. $150 for a logo is nothing. The 2012 London Olympics logo cost £400,000 (~$800,000) and it's shit.

You're paying for the designer's skills and creativity. Downloading an “art program”, contrary to popular belief, does not make you a designer.

I got told off for doing free work before so I'm now on a mission to stop people from asking for free work on design forums.

If its so easy to do why did you ask a professional forum of working designers to create a logo for you?

Seems ludacris! Skilled designers do not work for free or pennies when they have mortgages to pay and mouths to feed.
Im sure television studios and magazines seem very intriguing to people who wish to make some money and become famous, so dont try and tell us you do it for nothing yourself....

That doesn't really work if people are expecting things done for free?

i swear everytime somebody posts asking for work or advice on this forum, many of you just run them off the board, having in all honesty achieved nothing except for maybe them thinking designers are pompass ****s.

Can you imagine designers' frustrations when that is all there seems to be? There hardly ever seems to be any genuine decent job proposals for everyone to fight over.

Where else in your daily life do you go into a business, shop, industry and ask for something to be done for free, because you need the help or you'll offer them exposure?

They would tell you where to go!! So why shouldn't designers be any different? We still have to make a living and this is our tool, so why should we be treated any different?

i love it when people say 'it won't be that hard to do and should be simple'. what a crock! YOU ARE FOR TIME, SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITY - want the source file? pay for that too. people are so cheap!

you make me sick dog. you are just like most clowns that 'THINK' they can design and put out crap stuff and make the rest of the industry suffer and make us look like we have no skills.
