Quark and Indesign? I thought that was only something written by unknowledgable recruitment agents.....

Little to far away and a little too printing based for me really.

Because when you have 500+ design studio's worldwide supplying you with work it's not my job to tell them what software they should be using, thus I need employees that can use both.

From what I was led to believe in Uni, InDesign was the possible for-runner replacement for Quark?

Back on topic, Im sure this would be an excellent position for someone!

Well I think Quark ****** up making it sooooo expensive. Whole generations of designers are starting on Indesign, as it comes with the CS suite, which means Unis/colleges are getting it too, not to mention companies. Give it 5 years and unless Quark serious pull their finger out, they will be dead in the water.

Can i just ask, because i see it around alot, but "Mac operator"... is this some technical skill or is it just "I can use a mac". A.K.A. "I'm not a retard"?

Well.. I think they mean "proficient".. as in I can use it and I know all the shortcut keys & don't need a mouse button.
I mean, I usually ask people if they know what to do with the extra 5 mouse buttons..

Are there pre-defined uses for those buttons? I only have the opportunity to use the macs in college, so it's a rare treat that i get a 2nd mouse button, let alone 5 extra.
