Mac Operator/Graphic Designer Job

Can i just ask, because i see it around alot, but "Mac operator"... is this some technical skill or is it just "I can use a mac". A.K.A. "I'm not a retard"?

It's a way of saying, you can work with me but your role will be a heck of lot less interesting.....

A Mac Operator will often do much of the less creative work in a design studio, or publishing house. This can include marked-up text corrections, spell checks and formatting documents to pre-arranged templates. However, in a pre-press or print environment, the role can be a much more technical one.

With the mac thing, it sure helps to know a good handful of shortcuts, as it does speed things up over constant mouse only work. But its however you work best.

Well yeah, but that's on windows. My last mouse had 7 buttons, and i used them all, (voicecomms, back+forward in a browser, adjust sensitivity, + standard 3 buttons) but none of the functions beyond the standard 3 buttons have pre-defined functions. It differs with every mouse and/or user's setup.
