Funny.. I just found a post that I gave last April in here> I think this is the disclaimer Zinni is looking for. Maybe he could include this as an addendum to each of his contracts.

Before you ask for something for FREE, read this....

I think I'll throw it in my site too

Tommy, I have actually emailed that to someone in the past that asked for 6-8 logo comps as an example of my skills so he could decide between me and 3 other designers. This was back when I was trying out craigslist to obtain design work. I found it to be a waste of time for me.

I despise SPEC, I got ripped off once big in college and I have been extremely anti-spec as a result...

Now I work mostly through word of mouth referrals and marketing efforts (direct mail, cold calling, etc.) I find these jobs to be way more profitable and fun.

Funny the emotional responses a post concerning craigslist can spawn :)

I find that sometimes fueling the fire in situations like this actually gets the other person to reveal more about themselves than say an "Introduce Yourself" thread. Because I am truely a humanities study, needing to know and learn more about people, you'll notice I do it all the time

That is true, I never learn anything I remember from an introduce yourself thread. Most of the posts are just an excuse to flood the forums with useless shit.
