that's true. how far would 19-22k get you in london? here it would get me pretty far. in stockholm it wouldn't be as easy to live on. how's london?

It's not great but you can do it. I live in Kent, 40 miles from the office which is in the city. I learnt to ride a motorbike 2 years ago and do the trip in 40mins. The difference in property outside of London is massive.

It's a hard thing to say for sure, property wise sharing with others would probably be more realistic which isn't always a bad thing but private rented it maybe wouldn't be that nice a place you'd afford, but the plus side of the city is, if you're willing to travel there's alot of options to look at.
Come to Sheffield you could get a caravan with a toilet for that kind of cash and we love our immigrants.
