Hello all, I am seeking an entrepreneurial designer who has interest in working part-time on a few side projects. I am a self-funded software engineer working full-time on enterprise application development. I spend approximately 20 hours per week on the side following my own drum and the time has come to start moving ideas from the drawing board to the real world. This relationship can be done in exchange for a share of any company/profits that come as a result of these projects, for straight cash compensation, or any combination of the two that fit your current living needs. My preference is obviously for those who aspire to be apart of their own start-up, but I am also happy and capable to pay for excellent work.
A little about me: I am a diligent web developer that has a passion for creating new things. I am most experienced in JVM development which includes Java, Groovy, and Scala as well as a variety of back-end and front-end technologies to deliver solutions: databases, web servers, Flex, HTML/CSS, Javascript. Great design is truly art that should be appreciated as such. Prototyping and my own commercial work have led me to become proficient at design and design tools, but as much as I love it, it is not where my experience is most prolific. Still, I follow this area like a hawk through reading books and following web resources (addicted to Smashing). In other words, a good personality match for me is someone who is interested in having open discussions about the merits of a given design and will accept criticism (I will not, however, tell you how to do your job).
What am I looking for? Someone who is a web designer who has at least some interest in trying out a start-up in their spare time. I'm looking for my go-to-guy who is resourceful, talented, and creative. HTML/CSS experience would help, but as long as you can create a design in Photoshop, I am capable of translating it to the web. A big plus is other professional relationships that you can use to transfer work for which you may not be best suited. I know many good software developers but very few good designers and I suspect it is probably opposite for you guys. I'm also interested in someone with User Experience knowledge and best practices (if you follow Jakob Nielsen, we are probably on the same page).
"Fantasy Objects" is the current side-project on which I am working. The basic premise is much like fantasy football except it can be applied to a wide-variety of things. I am, in fact, implementing the first use of this software as a fantasy football game for myself and friends to use as a proof of concept. If the concept works, I'd like to first apply it to the political spectrum. This idea has been tried before and hasn't had much success, but I still see an opportunity. I am very happy to provide much more depth on this work to interested people. You do not have to sign an NDA or anything silly; in my view, the people matter far more than the ideas.
To sum up, I am not looking for spec-work, I am not looking for a free lunch, if any of the above sounds interesting to you, please send me a message and we can communicate more. I am also interested in entertaining your personal development ideas if you have any, but I prefer to stay out of ventures whose primary monetization model is advertising unless it is a very specific niche. I do have a budget for this work so if you only want cash work please forward your rates, if they are too high we are likely to not have much middle-ground.
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear back from some of you.

Ramesh, the advertisement is nearly 1 month and the advertiser is a 2-post wonder. I doubt you will get a response; especially when no contact details were left...
Hi blueocto,
Thats right.Thanks.
nice job sniper...
I would wonder why would this person be spending time to write up a long passage, if thats his first post here and is actually trying to scam on something or someone for that matter.
Maybe the poster has already found someone since he didn't bother to post back anymore.
