Don't know if anyones interested at the forum building process, but I've been having a look at Vanilla it's a different style of discussion board but has some interesting features.

I have a forum which was made with SMF that is valid the same as yours, and like yours it has a lot of errors when you test XHTML strict.

This is good, I never really check to see if other forums validate but it's nice that the forum does validate.
I wonder how many people will ever check. I'm sure as years past everyone will know why a site should validate, I tried telling a friend about the importance of validating and then didn't really see the point.
