    Problems with CSS position.

    Now i've read a lot, and have trashed the negative margins :)

    BUT...

    Well, after a lot of trys, I decided to start all over by creating a new HTML and CSS website.

    Julie & Kasper Cocktails

    The page looks great in Safari, FireFox and Opera, but i have a issue in Internet Explorer, cause the position of the whole layout is wrong.

    Here is the CSS code:

    Code:
    body {
    	background-color:#592300;
    	font-family: verdana, sans sreif;
    	text-align:center;
    }

    #all {
    	width: 650px;
    	margin: 40px auto;
    	text-align:left;
    }

    #logo {
    	position:absolute;
    	width: 400px;
    	margin: 60px 275px auto;
    }

    #hovedmenu {
    	font-size:1em;
    	position:absolute;
    	margin: 250px 175px auto;
    }

    .menu {
    	margin-right:30px;
    }

    #content {
    	position:absolute;
    	width: 400px;
    	margin: 330px 125px auto;
    }

    h1 {
    	font-size:0.8em;
    }

    p {
    	margin-top:2.2em;
    	text-align:justify;
    	font-size:10px;
    	line-height:2em;
    }

    #btmimg{
    	position:absolute;
    	width: 400px;
    	margin: 725px 125px auto;
    }

    #imgtext {
    	font-size:0.6em;
    	text-align:center;
    	position:absolute;
    	width: 400px;
    	margin: 825px 125px auto;
    }

    #footer {
    	color:black;
    	font-size:0.5em;
    	text-align:center;
    	position:absolute;
    	width: 400px;
    	margin: 940px 125px auto;
    }

    a:link {
    	border-style: none;
    	color: white;
    	text-decoration:none;
    }
    a:visited {
    	border-style: none;
    	color: white;
    	text-decoration:none;
    }

    a:hover {
    	border-style: none;
    	color:black;
    	text-decoration:none;
    }
    And some screenshots from different browsers:https://browsershots.org/http://cocktails.net46.net/

    The HTML file, you find on the site: Julie & Kasper Cocktails

    I have read that the #all should be set like in my code to center the layout, but it does not work in IE. Anyone who knows whats wrong?

    Thank you all :)

    I'm not the best coder but I think....

    PHP Code:
         <div>         <span id="hovedmenu"><class="menu" href="#">Forside</a><class="menu" href="#">Profil</a><class="menu" href="#">Drinks</a><class="menu" href="#">Kontakt</a></        span>     </div
    You need to define your Div's I could be wrong but a div id would be better use
    "I don't build sites that validate, I prefer to charge the client extra when they break!"

    well, right now i have no problem with the menu, but your code is the same as mine, but i understand you. I don't know if you are right, cause I don't have to set any CSS code to the <div> in this case. Please let my know if anyone knows that he's right or wrong thanks!
