im now saving up coz i am getting an iphone for christmas and i should be able to get a decent g4 with 512mb ram which should be enough in january coz i get 7.50 a week

Robocop was a classic! Miss those days where you stuck the cassette tape [!] in and had to wait 10mins for it to load up! Could walk off, make a coffee, get back... and then find it had crashed!

Alex, saving up is probably the best thing to do. Another way would be to write up a contract that says you'll make payments to your parents via chores. You should have a piece of paper with the computer information on it ready so they can see what you want and then sign the contract in front of them.

If my daughter did it, I would buy it immediately. Just don't tell her that.

youll struggle to find a g5 for the price your lookina t - only if someone deranged is selling one. G4 is your best best and theyll do the job for small things but to be honest your best off looking at 2nd hand laptops? Why do you want a desktop?

I would always choose a desktop over a laptop unless you need to travel with it.

blatantly, thats the point of laptops really, but if you have to settle theyre a cheaper option, and these days acan et a better laptop than desktop for your money
