Toon....it's an Emac. At least that's what the link goes to. I have a friend at Apple that says not to buy Emacs for graphic design. They actually discontinued them because of problems.

Cancom are pretty reasonable (check the price inc VAT, in small text); though for ones with software included you'll be better off looking on ebay or putting a wanted ad in your local FE college / university... students always need beer money :)

the cheaper you go the less options you'll have. What about a spectrum?

Ahh, they still look good even by todays standards.

We still had a fully working Digiforum until a couple of years ago, it had less memory than your average mobile phone but it still did the job, a great designer should be able to work on any format especially if you want to travel with your work in the future.

A friend of mine went to some work in Chile and he was doing a write up on a PC 286 I think they used to call them, then when the designing started the guy laughed and said 'I don't expect you to work on this' my friend breathed a sigh of relief until they sat him down in front of a old power mac. The chilian company was so proud of this machine they didn't let any of the emplyees use it. My friend said it opened his eyes to a whole new wold and after seeing some of the work the studio could produce he realised the tools were their minds not the equipment they were using.
