The point is for good, old fashion advertising, not to "link-build" your website, meaning ... users visit my website, they click on the link. As simple as that. I think that if from 15-20000 people, 100 enter your website ... the money is worth it. It's 10$, which is not much frankly.
I recently found out it's a break of Google TOS ... the selling of text links with no rel="nofollow" attribute.
Let me ask you something. If you have a service to provide .... you advertise it on different websites for link building and better SE positioning purposes ? I think you advertise to get people (through traffic) to see what you offer and turn those people into customers. For me that's the main purpose of advertising.
