sounds like a really good idea to me, i would be interested, the experience of working for clients in a live brief would be fun, that is the idea right?

Firstly let me apologise for delayed responses to the last 3 posters, I’ve been away for the weekend, anyway here goes.

grapic-Foure: Thank you for completing the survey, it is much appreciated. I do not know of any similar services in Australia, I searched for direct competition in the UK and found none however I did not really search. That said I’m still developing the service, and I cannot see why it wouldn't be possible for you to work on projects even if you are outside the UK. I have by no means finalised how the payments will be made, so assuming there will be no problems paying you in either cheque or making payments to your bank account, I can't see a problem. I certainly don't want to be excluding a good student designer simply because they do not live in the UK. If you send me your e-mail address to info@student-design.co.uk I will personally contact you when I know for definite.

GAZamataz: Thank you also for taking time to fill out the survey, it is much appreciated. In response to your question you are correct. The idea would be that student would browse a list of current briefs, and if successful for bidding for one then you would be expected to carry our the work using your own equipment then submit it online to student design. Student design would then allow the client to view and approve the work. Once approved student design would keep the work in transit until payment is received from the client, ensuring you don't get ripped of for your work. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to post them here or contact me personally on info@student-design.co.uk

karenze1986: Thank your for your response. You are correct. The aim as stated is to give student the chance to showcase their talent, earn money, gain CV and portfolio material and practice working in a live design environment. As well as being fun we hope that all that we are hoping to offer student will be very helpful in helping them build a future career. Please do fill our the survey if you have not already done so, and if you have any more questions as ever post them here or email info@student-design.co.uk

To everyone
In terms of getting some work now, depending on when you filled out the survey with the 3rd newsletter you would have got information on the first live job available for students to work on

In brief a client is looking for several talented student designers to work on producing an maintaining content and the platform for their new WAP site, this job should interest those with both design skills and also a level of technical skill. That is as much detail as I can give you at the moment, but I will be posting a more detailed information page on this job on the website, and it should be ready for viewing by tomorrow (Monday) . This job will be paid, and excitingly the client has hinted that this project may lead to a full time contract with designer or designers.

Thanks everyone, any questions, here or info@student-design.co.uk
