Suggesting we are ripping people off just because those sites we produce are not up to W3C is VERY unreasonable
No it isn't. When you provide a product or a service it needs to be up to an acceptable standard, whether it's the temperature of a coffee that a cafe provides, the safety of a motor vehicle as set out by NCAP, or the acceptable standards as set out by the W3C for website production.
You wouldn't want to have windows installed by someone who wasn't FENSA registered now would you? Or how about getting your mate Dave who isn't CORGI registered to install a new boiler for you?

You obviously don't understand the complexities of website development if you think it is acceptable to produce code that doesn't validate. When software developers create software to interact with websites they follow the standards and specifications set out by the governing bodies (ISO and the W3C). If you produce code that doesn't validate you could be excluding users of existing and future assistive technologies from being able to view your website. This is bad for business and could lead to the owner of the website being sued: Target lawsuit tests limits of US web accessibility law and by the way Target lost.

I cannot believe yo would have the audacity to call me a bedroom designer when you make the schoolboy error of putting content in images without an alternative. A lot of people browse with images disabled, for example, using LYNX on Linux or WebbIE for disabled people; not to mention the fact that search engines can't index content inside of images, how stupid can you be?

Your entire website is built in Flash with no HTML alternative, there are many browser extensions to block Flash in webpages such as the popular Flashblock. A lot of people uninstall Flash and you will find that a lot of organisations don't have it installed on their workstations as it isn't included as standard on Windows 2000 and installation of software must be done by an administrator. This throws yours business acumen into question.

If you want I can go on and on. If you want me to ring you then I will but I will also get in touch with every single one of your clients and tell them what I tell you.

I'm telling you this for your own good. Book your ideas up.

I would suggest that there is a difference between NCAP and CORGI (which has just been replaced anyway) is that these are qualifications there to say something is safe - i.e. no harm to life - where as I've never heard of a website killing anybody (apart from that dodgy movie) - other than that I'd be in agreement regarding flash/images

Validation on the other hand ---- amazon anyone?

The point still stands though, let's replace CORGI and NCAP with Fensa and The register of chartered psychologists (BPS).

Just because other companies fall behind the standard doesn't make it acceptable for you to do so. Amazon could be the new Target at some stage.

I think what Scriptage meant was that Luke had ripped you off by supplying you with shoddy code.
