Question Butterfly Media Romania

Hi, I am showcasing my website here, trying to get some impressions, advice and critique on my graphics, content and ad placement for my web site.

I like it it's nice and simple, I would avoid having the ads at the top. There's not enough to take the focuss off them. Try them at the foot maybe.

(Welcome by the way)

Thank you for your quick reply and for the invitation to join your forum. For 2 years my ads were at the bottom. As I started to promote my site, credit from adsense started to arrive, but it was only a few cents a day. So, a week ago, I decided to move my adsense at the top, and give it a try, to see if the credit will go up.

It's just a temporary measure, until I will find a way to seamlessly integrate the ads into the web design, without the "advertisment" look.

Thanks again,
Chip

Why not try them in a seperate box down the side, so they are seperated from the main content.

(Welcome )

Well, it's because I want them to be integrated in the page content. I had them separated for a while and they didn't gave the result I expected.

It's a tough balance because people have to click them to make money but you don't want them to take over from the main site.

Yes, you're right, it's always a tough decision between having a nice site with decent content and an "huge street advertising banner"-like web site. I see different solutions everywhere, some better some worse. But I will just go with the flow and see my ad results and I will change them until I will find the right solution.

Thanks, and... try to finish your web site sooner, or change that splash page. Try a more Web 2.0 approach. Something like a colorful title, like 2 colors gradient, and the txt with "Soon, under construction, bla, bla" make it grey. And the copyright underneath. I wouldn't visit you back after seeing that splash page. My eyes hurt for a second :).

Try that and I will keep visiting you to see how you're doing.

Good luck!
