I think there is a little more to this. Yes, I see your point about needing to find a site, and therefore
SEO being important, but if your site looks awful, why would you stay, or even buy from it?
Honest thing is, the site can't function without the code and without some degree of
SEO, but it also fails if it can't be navigated, or looked at. The process needs to go together.
