Aim for search engine results rather than traffic, get people there who are actually looking for what you offer.
That's one of the reasons I've given up on that tutorial site I was building, let's face it every tutorial is already on the net, another one won't help anybody. It's the same as directories and css galleries, there's way too many it's not worth the hassle, much better to come up with a unique idea and promote it, plus that tutorial software is a bit gash!
