Look up prices for graphic design jobs in Elance.com
Have you tried Elance.com for some price comparisons? There are archived jobs in the profile of each freelancing artist, and you can get a pretty good idea about what to charge for a brochure, or for a business card.
If you browse through the jobs posted in the past, (say: "logo design" you will see jobs posted and adjudecated for the price range of $0-$49, or $100-$199.
You be the judge, as the prices may vary quite a lot. I noticed that the designers from Asia or India are really low price, as opposed to the North American market.
