I never count some of the new 'punk' bands as punk, to be honest. I can see the similarities, and cn enjoy the music they produce. I see it as New Punk though! How many musical categories can there be now?!
I have a thing for old-school punk, 70's and 80's. I *love* Undertones gigs, because I get to push around 40+ year old slightly podgy men who ought to know better than to be thinking they can mosh at their age without getting a heart attack!
Some of the 'Irish' punk bands can bring out mental crowds. It's all good!
There's nothing wrong with a bit o' Westloife!
