You'll need to export your work as a pdf and then open these files in photoshop. Simple curves in booklets (ie: at the centre of a spread) can be recreated using layer masks. Make a new layer and paint a dark grey strip. Now add a layer mask, and set the gradient tool to be one pure black and the other pure white. Now draw a gradient across the layer - the white will stay opaque while the black bit will fade out. Also, experiment with the layer blending (multiply is a good one) and opacity to get it looking more realistic. You can repeat the above but with a white painted strip instead of grey to simulate light shining off the brochure / whatever.


Making the pieces into a convincing 3D shape like above would take a bit of distortion, but i'm not an expert at that myself!
