I too have a dual setup, but with two old Apple display multi scan 1705. Until now I have been callibrating my monitor by eye crossreferencing with print, but didn't require too much visual accuracy as most colours where pantone.
Now I need to be able to send artwork to print and need to make sure the colors are accurate (peace of mind).
I have bought Spyder2 suite and for now have calibrated my sony laptop to deal with that, but ideally I would like to update my mac workstation with new monitors.
I can't afford more than £300 in total.
I have read some of the posts and looked a bit on the web for new monitor(s)
Designers seems to be very happy with apple LCDs, but I haven't seen any mention of Iiyama monitors, which I believe have a fairly good reputation (comparable to apple)... Samsung SyncMaster seems ok too...
I know Lacie or Eizo would be what I should go for, but I only need something 'good enough' (better than my settings, 85-90% accurate).
Arkady, I imagine you don't know about high street monitors, but thanks for your feedback!
Ideally, I will have either 2x17" or 2x19", probably 5:4,
But I am also thinking going 22" widescreen (I have read some comments about the fact the widescreen widen the screen/images)
