Ok.. never mind, i should have checked before making a new thread, i customized my own hot keys to achieve the above. Photoshop does not make them default hot keys, is all.

Huge help. Also useful is shift+tab, which reveals/hides only your panels (layers, color, etc whatever you have open last time you hid) but doesn't affect visibility of the context bar, menus, or tool pallet.
Anyone know how to JUST show the contextual pallet?
